Work on the underpass continues, along with curb and multiuse path construction on Lynn Valley Road, south of Sutherland Ave. New southbound lane of Lynn Valley Road with retaining wall taking shape, MaOctober 26, 2017 - Work resumes We anticipate the entire project will be done by the end of June. We anticipate the new retaining wall will be completed by the end of March.įollowing installation of the new wall, curbs, paving, and landscaping will be completed. Workers have finished installing the anchors along the embankment below the overpass, and are now installing the final concrete retaining wall. March 22, 2018 - Stage 1 of the project complete Stage 2 underway We anticipate the project will be completed by mid-May, though final paving will be dependent on several consecutive days of dry weather. Once this work is completed, traffic will be moved over to this new lane to allow contractors to complete the median islands under and north of the bridge. Railings, street lighting, curb work, and base asphalt is expected to be completed soon. The retaining wall underneath the highway bridge is now complete. The new Lynn Valley Rd underpass features a new southbound travel lane, a new multiuse path, southbound bike lane connections, lighting improvements, and pedestrian safety improvements April 18, 2018 - New retaining wall complete Thank you for your patience while this important project was completed. All work on this project is now complete, and the new lane under Highway 1 is open for business.
